I could not rate this shop high enough for what it deserves,I had my heart set on a Leopard frog Pleco for a long time rang a few shops asking about stock and this shop was the most polite and more desirable they told me the date when the delivery was due.they also posted daily of new stock that has arrived in store on Facebook,when I saw the day the photo went up I rushed through this Saturday, the staff greeted us soon as we got there and was ever so welcoming asked if there was a specific fish we came for and I told them pointed me to the location we picked a few other fish and upon discussion we told them how far we came and was prepared to box them up with a heater pack for me, they had great advice on how to feed them and how to distinguish between female and male, I could not be happier with the visit and will be returning again this as been by far my most favourite aquarium shop yet.

I’ve bought a few pearlscales from here recently and a little goldfish, the staff were so lovely and friendly and I love my fish so much. Couldn’t recommend this place more, it’s so much better than pets at home or any other pet shop. My grandad would only ever get his fish from here he said it’s the best in Doncaster :)

If you care at all about the welfare of fish DO NOT use this supplier. Tanks are filthy, dead, rotting and half eaten fish in many of them....the pond fish are in poor condition, many with ulcers, fin rot and chunks missing out of them.....this is nothing more than a business to them as there is no care whatsoever for the fish in their care.....

Had a problem with a broken bonsai tree which was replaced and old one binned. Second one branches began to fall off - sent it back and was accused of sending the first one back!! Tree sent back was not broken at the time of pick up just the branches were falling off - was told it was broken when they got it - accused me of defrauding them - not a happy customer!!! Also this was an aqua one product and apparently they said to tell me to buy some waterproof glue and stick the branches back on!! No wonder they have a bad score on Trustpilot!!

Travelled from chesterfield nearly an hour. Got there and the place looked like a builders yard i walked round the shop part for around 10 mins looking for the fish room as there was noone in the shop. When i finally found the little door in the corner for fish room i went in and wish i hadnt. The tanks were filthy!! Nearly all the orandas and discus were covered in white spot clearly due to poor water quality. I will never go here again total waste of my time!!

Great place to visit, we've gone for years now with kids to look at fish. Bought tropical fish from here over many years, too (10+ yrs). Family business. Helpful, friendly staff happy to assist and advise on care. They won't just sell to make a sale; they check your tank water/environment, etc, for the welfare of the fish. If you go in wanting a certain number of fish n they think you'll overcrowd your tank, etc, they won't sell to you. They care about welfare, not sales. Lots of fish to choose from, stocks of tanks and accessories.Highly recommend is you're a fish keeper and care about your animals.

I absolutely love this place. Me and my partner travel there regularly from sheffield and we have used Viscum for a while.We bought our tank from there. The staff are soo helpful and we have never had an issue. They are very clued up and know what they are on about. Every single fish in our tank is from Viscum and its the only place we will ever trust when it comes to our tank and fish. There's no place in sheffield that lives up to Viscum. They make every other aquatics shop look pathetic. You can tell they do it because they love what they do and they are not money motivated. When I read the low star reviews, I can't see where they are coming from.

We have visited a lot of fish shops in & out south Yorkshire & I must say this is by far the best one we have visited. The amount of different fish that was there, ones I've never seen before absolutely amazed me! I didn't want to leave was well worth the 45 minute drive. Why do some people leave bad reviews when clearly they have issues I've just looked at Brandon's review profile and there's quite a lot of 1 star reviews so here we go ! I've used viscum for 20 plus years and yes they know what's what with fish etc and yes there may be dead fish in the odd tanks but this happens everywhere pets at home maiden aquatics at home in your aquarium this doesn't mean it's bad if you died people wouldn't say oh it's his mum and dad's fault now would they !!! I've never had issues with anything from here friendly and knowledgeable helpful straight to the point no bull like some of the national places mention no names pah 😜 anyway they are just doing a big revamp to the tank area which by the way looks really good sorry for waffling but great job guys keep it up I come from Dewsbury to shop there and we'll worth the drivePicture is of fish I got from viscum probably cheaper than some other places too !!

Overrated, dead fish in every other tank. They don't know how to look after bettas at all. They use holding tanks where the males see each other causing stress. And it's £20 for a betta that's nearly dead. Seen dead ones in their female betta tanks. Honestly avoid.

What a hidden gem. Viscum is set back from the road and appears as if just a house at first sight. However there is a large carpark and shop with a vast array of healthy fish to see. U can get all your fishy needs met here with lots of choice, products etc. The owners are lovely, friendly and knowledgeable an are happy to give advice an share the space openly. Overall a lovely place to pop in even if just for a look.

Normally I rate this aquatic store and the owner. But today was a major let down as I purchased some decorative branches I asked if they would want soaking for a couple of weeks so they wouldn't float. No. He replied no they are good to use right away. On putting them into the tank they floated. I would have thought with all his years of experience he should have known that.Very disappointed as I paid quite a bit for them.

Very friendly atmosphere and the guys can't do enough to help, nothing to much trouble. We were offered a hot drink as soon as we entered the aquatics shop, something gratefully received on a wet and cold late October day. We were also offered to look through their new plant stock that had just been delivered and still in the boxes, although their collection already in the shop on show were healthy & extensive. All their tanks whether cold, tropical & saltwater are well maintained and stocked with good healthy fish.I can recommend Viscum 100%, I bought some really healthy plant's and bit's and bobs for my tanks that are still aging. I'll be going back to stock the tanks with new residents so "Get the kettle on lad's".

The shop is inconspicuous on the outside, but the kingdom inside. A large selection of cold-water, tropical, saltwater fish, plants, some shrimps, frogs, turtles, axolotls and everything you need if you have an aquarium or pond. Weak advertising - I've been living in Doncaster for 5 years and I didn't know about this store. Great customer service. Good prices. I recommend this store very much :)

Very disappointed and won't be returning. bought 2 rams which were dead within 24 hours. 1 within 5 hours. Took in a water sample hoping to get the fish replaced to be told my nitrate was deadly...after talking with other specialists and doing my own tests at home my nitrate read between 5 and 10ppm, not enough to kill them in 5 hours. I'm now £15 down with no fish
