Fantastic pet store! I've been here several times now and they consistently impress. They have a huge selection of healthy fish, including a really impressive range for outdoor ponds. The staff are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The store is clean, and prices are fair. Highly recommended!

First time visit and we loved it, loads of fish trops and cold water some fresh water shrimps and crabs ,from bread and butter beginners to the more advanced keeper like Discus etc sadly didn't have enough time to spend there though we did get given a coffee from the staff who were extremely helpful and friendly it definitely worth a visit

Amazing shop been today and bought some assasins snails and some neon tetra. Lovely staff, fishes look very healthy and amazing variety of food, plants, woods, aquarium, stone, fishes etc.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Got a reasonable selection of plants, the fish looked good quality the outside could do with some attention.Went back once the plants were established and got the fish I wanted. Great selection and got an amazing koi betta. Great job guys I'll use you regularly now.

I could not rate this shop high enough for what it deserves,I had my heart set on a Leopard frog Pleco for a long time rang a few shops asking about stock and this shop was the most polite and more desirable they told me the date when the delivery was due.they also posted daily of new stock that has arrived in store on Facebook,when I saw the day the photo went up I rushed through this Saturday, the staff greeted us soon as we got there and was ever so welcoming asked if there was a specific fish we came for and I told them pointed me to the location we picked a few other fish and upon discussion we told them how far we came and was prepared to box them up with a heater pack for me, they had great advice on how to feed them and how to distinguish between female and male, I could not be happier with the visit and will be returning again this as been by far my most favourite aquarium shop yet.

Always got something a bit different from your regular Aquatics store , like Pets at Home etc ...Always greeted with a Coffee, great friendly knowledgeable staff, always completely transparent with their advice . 🙂👍

Welcomed with a good cup of coffee free of charge. Really good place. There is plenty of stock for aquariums to ponds. Good advice given. Will return when buying my new tank as the prices are good and they will price match internet prices. They will even give you the best advice on beta fish and which fish to keep with them. Very impressed. Nothing is too much trouble.

Lee looked after us on this visit.He was knowledgeable and friendly. Suggested fish that looked healthy and avoided some that he felt needed attention. Always great value for money and a welcoming group of lads. Highly recommended.

I’ve bought a few pearlscales from here recently and a little goldfish, the staff were so lovely and friendly and I love my fish so much. Couldn’t recommend this place more, it’s so much better than pets at home or any other pet shop. My grandad would only ever get his fish from here he said it’s the best in Doncaster :)

Bought some item from viscum when I arrived I was given a delicious coffee from a lovely helpful guy called Lee. He was very knowledgeable about everything I needed to know about the fish I planned to get and the plants they would need. Many thanks will see you soon I would recommend this place to anyone 😀

If you care at all about the welfare of fish DO NOT use this supplier. Tanks are filthy, dead, rotting and half eaten fish in many of them....the pond fish are in poor condition, many with ulcers, fin rot and chunks missing out of them.....this is nothing more than a business to them as there is no care whatsoever for the fish in their care.....

Cost of £4,500 to install sleeper pond promising future maintenance but can't get them to come,lost 4 x 2ft fish that put in holding tank,should have been there for one week but it was four, can't recommend this company

Had a problem with a broken bonsai tree which was replaced and old one binned. Second one branches began to fall off - sent it back and was accused of sending the first one back!! Tree sent back was not broken at the time of pick up just the branches were falling off - was told it was broken when they got it - accused me of defrauding them - not a happy customer!!! Also this was an aqua one product and apparently they said to tell me to buy some waterproof glue and stick the branches back on!! No wonder they have a bad score on Trustpilot!!

Went in today after having problems with my pond, explained what was happening and the owner gave me to solution straight away. Came home checked and he was right the uv light wasn’t working. Amazing service

Travelled from chesterfield nearly an hour. Got there and the place looked like a builders yard i walked round the shop part for around 10 mins looking for the fish room as there was noone in the shop. When i finally found the little door in the corner for fish room i went in and wish i hadnt. The tanks were filthy!! Nearly all the orandas and discus were covered in white spot clearly due to poor water quality. I will never go here again total waste of my time!!

Lovely shop, plenty of items to look through at various prices so no need to worry about breaking the bank. All the fish are kept well healthy. And the guys running the place and all staff know what theyre talking about.

We heard about this shop on social media, and decided to go and have a look. So glad we did, lovely shop and very helpful staff. They have a wide variety of Fish, that are really healthy and well looked after. The variety of aquariums and decorations was fantastic. So glad we know about this place, by far the best Aquatics Shops I've been too.

Great place to visit, we've gone for years now with kids to look at fish. Bought tropical fish from here over many years, too (10+ yrs). Family business. Helpful, friendly staff happy to assist and advise on care. They won't just sell to make a sale; they check your tank water/environment, etc, for the welfare of the fish. If you go in wanting a certain number of fish n they think you'll overcrowd your tank, etc, they won't sell to you. They care about welfare, not sales. Lots of fish to choose from, stocks of tanks and accessories.Highly recommend is you're a fish keeper and care about your animals.

Easy parking outside, large selection of tropical fish. Helpful staff that will happily go out there way to help and ensure got everything required. Amazing aquascaping room with literally tonnes of driftwood and rocks, largest selection I’ve ever seen by far!

Lovely plaice (no pun intended) good honest advicE given by friendly owner and staff, the fish aquatic plants water pumps pond liners and everything you need are all in stock and priced to suit I would highly recommend this as the go to aquatics centre they go out of there way to make sure the customer is king..

10/10 - absolutely amazing aquatics centre. The guys there are friendly, knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help you out. The shop itself is well laid out and they have a massive selection available. I was even offered a coffee while I went for a browse. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

I absolutely love this place. Me and my partner travel there regularly from sheffield and we have used Viscum for a while.We bought our tank from there. The staff are soo helpful and we have never had an issue. They are very clued up and know what they are on about. Every single fish in our tank is from Viscum and its the only place we will ever trust when it comes to our tank and fish. There's no place in sheffield that lives up to Viscum. They make every other aquatics shop look pathetic. You can tell they do it because they love what they do and they are not money motivated. When I read the low star reviews, I can't see where they are coming from.

We have visited a lot of fish shops in & out south Yorkshire & I must say this is by far the best one we have visited. The amount of different fish that was there, ones I've never seen before absolutely amazed me! I didn't want to leave was well worth the 45 minute drive. Really friendly & welcoming staff too, will be back soon!

Why do some people leave bad reviews when clearly they have issues I've just looked at Brandon's review profile and there's quite a lot of 1 star reviews so here we go ! I've used viscum for 20 plus years and yes they know what's what with fish etc and yes there may be dead fish in the odd tanks but this happens everywhere pets at home maiden aquatics at home in your aquarium this doesn't mean it's bad if you died people wouldn't say oh it's his mum and dad's fault now would they !!! I've never had issues with anything from here friendly and knowledgeable helpful straight to the point no bull like some of the national places mention no names pah 😜 anyway they are just doing a big revamp to the tank area which by the way looks really good sorry for waffling but great job guys keep it up I come from Dewsbury to shop there and we'll worth the drivePicture is of fish I got from viscum probably cheaper than some other places too !!

Absolutely amazing shop! Very friendly staff, so much fish you don't know where to look and all in good condition too. They also sell all kinds of equipment for tropical and pond set ups. Would highly recommend and will be using these as our new suppliers.

Very friendly people, front of house well laid out with great looking tanks to buy but live fish layout not great, though new tanks are due in. However, there were some poorly fish in there.

Overrated, dead fish in every other tank. They don't know how to look after bettas at all. They use holding tanks where the males see each other causing stress. And it's £20 for a betta that's nearly dead. Seen dead ones in their female betta tanks. Honestly avoid.

My partner and I purchased two fish from Viscum in June 2022. Lovely service from the gentleman that works there. We would recommend this place to anyone. Wide selection of fish available! The lovely on-site panther like cat deserves a mention, so friendly and adorable!

As always excellent service, I have been using Viscum for over 20 years. Before that my parents used them when I was growing up. Great service, excellent advice and good value and quality. Cannot speak more highly of them. There is a reason we travel 30 miles to go to Viscum.

First time I've ever been. Fantastic selection of fish and all seem well looked after. Nice guy who owns the place, offered a cup of coffee to me and my wife ( had to say no because baby was starting to get cranky ). I'll definitely be going again.

As for koi this place has a great variation at good prices. Stock is replenished almost weekly. Great service is given along with great knowledge from the owner

What a hidden gem. Viscum is set back from the road and appears as if just a house at first sight. However there is a large carpark and shop with a vast array of healthy fish to see. U can get all your fishy needs met here with lots of choice, products etc. The owners are lovely, friendly and knowledgeable an are happy to give advice an share the space openly. Overall a lovely place to pop in even if just for a look.

Normally I rate this aquatic store and the owner. But today was a major let down as I purchased some decorative branches I asked if they would want soaking for a couple of weeks so they wouldn't float. No. He replied no they are good to use right away. On putting them into the tank they floated. I would have thought with all his years of experience he should have known that.Very disappointed as I paid quite a bit for them.

Loved it - massive variety of fish available, including freshwater and marine, and a decent selection of aquarium and pond products.Huge array of plants for sale too. Bit out of the way unless you're driving, but makes up for what they have in store. Definitely worth a trip.

Staff are vary friendly and plenty of fish and plants to choose from but the tanks could do with cleaning and the shop in general looks run down it could do with more staff so the up keep of the shop and tanks are kept presentable.

Very friendly atmosphere and the guys can't do enough to help, nothing to much trouble. We were offered a hot drink as soon as we entered the aquatics shop, something gratefully received on a wet and cold late October day. We were also offered to look through their new plant stock that had just been delivered and still in the boxes, although their collection already in the shop on show were healthy & extensive. All their tanks whether cold, tropical & saltwater are well maintained and stocked with good healthy fish.I can recommend Viscum 100%, I bought some really healthy plant's and bit's and bobs for my tanks that are still aging. I'll be going back to stock the tanks with new residents so "Get the kettle on lad's".

The shop is inconspicuous on the outside, but the kingdom inside. A large selection of cold-water, tropical, saltwater fish, plants, some shrimps, frogs, turtles, axolotls and everything you need if you have an aquarium or pond. Weak advertising - I've been living in Doncaster for 5 years and I didn't know about this store. Great customer service. Good prices. I recommend this store very much :)

Very disappointed and won't be returning. bought 2 rams which were dead within 24 hours. 1 within 5 hours. Took in a water sample hoping to get the fish replaced to be told my nitrate was deadly...after talking with other specialists and doing my own tests at home my nitrate read between 5 and 10ppm, not enough to kill them in 5 hours. I'm now £15 down with no fish
